Custom Gemstone Faceting
and Lapidary Service     

                  Gemart Services started in 1990-and it's first few years was at the "Pow Wow" in Quartzsite, AZ. After that Gemart went on to "road shows". Today Gemart Services does approximately 6-7 shows a year and gives a variety of faceting services for jewelers and clients. They also are the dealer for the "Pol-A-Gem" polishing laps.

Jerry's professional background was in engineering and metallurgy. He was a pioneer in the Titanium industry in which he spent more than a 40 year career. He was instrumental in developing the alloy formulation and mill processing procedures for the titanium that was dominantly used in the SR71 aircraft in the 1960's and after that he was involved in market development as new applications were opening.

Jerry Faceting

Jerry's background with earth sciences and "stones" covers almost 60 years of rock hounding, lapidary work i.e. cabs, spheres, gold casting etc. and collecting and mining anytime he had a chance. Betty's profession was in banking, 28 years with Home Savings of America.

Jerry was introduced to faceting by his wife Betty (who was attending a faceting workshop given by Glenn and Martha Vargas in 1990) and her enthusiasm in the art caught his attention. He joined her one Saturday and then… the rest is history.

We specialize in custom cut stones and repair/recutting of old damaged gemstones.
